Originally, Abadeh carpets featured a vase motif and relatively dull colors. To renew their motifs, the weavers drew inspiration from the ghashghaï nomads who summer pasture in the region. The carpets then took on a reddish-brown hue combined with blue, and medallions on the central field and corners.
