Size: 21 x 15 cm The "raga" was originally a musical theme from medieval India. From the 16th century onwards, it became known as "ragamala". Each raga theme represents a mood, a season or a specific time of day, accompanied by a brief inscription suggesting a meditative mood, most often love and devotion.
