Large dish inspired by Iznik, 1st quarter 20th century
Large glazed ceramic dish with vivid polychromy and slight relief. The main decoration, composed in reserve on a green background, features a peacock standing proudly amidst Iznik-inspired pomegranate flowers, hyacinths and saz leaves. A lively latticework of stylized lotus flowers decorates the wide border.
Mark on reverse: B.F.K. 5/36. Very good condition.
