A Victorian mourning brooch in 15ct yellow gold, of Etruscan Revival design, star motif centred in the circular plaque set with a ruby and point-cut diamonds, surrounded with twisted cablework and applied florals, further embellished with beads, glazed compartment and brooch fittings to verso, Chester assay marks, 4.8 cm wide, total weight 6.5 grams.
