The story of the Universal Genève Polerouter begins in 1954, designed to celebrate the first transpolar commercial flights of the Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS). The watch was created by a then-unknown young designer, Gérald Genta, who was to become one of the most influential watchmakers of the 20th century. The Polerouter was specially designed to withstand the extreme conditions of transpolar flights, offering unrivalled precision and robustness.
