It crashed at NIJNI OUDINSK, Siberia - The crew (LE BRIX, DORET and MESMIN) attempted to set a world record for distance by flying to Tokyo from Le Bourget. It was a failure, the plane being destroyed after a hard landing caused by icing, but the crew was unharmed. Only 100 items of mail were saved and forwarded.
