RARE ENTIER POSTAL à HUIT FRANCS "affranchissement perçu pour le parcours pays d'origine-Genève / Genève-Pays de destination".
Date stamp from SETIF / ALGERIA, Constantine department November 12, 1943,
for TOURS / Indre & Loire "on the occasion New Year wishes health happiness and ardently wishes with end of war to find me among you...".
Bearing in the center, in red, the Geneva Red Cross stamp, and at the bottom the stamp of the German Red Cross in France. Document arrived in Paris on March 22, 1944 (more than 4 months!),
for dispatch to the addressee in Touraine, 1 f 50 imprint in red of private franking machine SA 139 PARIS 62; also bears small closing stickers with "C R F" letters and red cross in center, the form being folded in 3 for postal circulation...
ON THE BACK: red Paris arrival stamp "Croix-Rouge Française 22 mars 1944" and,
in a large frame, stamped in black 40 x 122 mm "NE PEUT SERVIR POUR LA REPONSE".
