Largely original edition of the poems of Charles d'Orléans (1394-1465), dedicated to César-René-Marie François-Rodolphe de Briançon-Vachon-Belmont. It was published by Grenoble man of letters and journalist Pierre-Vincent Chalvet (1767-1807), based on the incomplete manuscript held by the Grenoble library.
This was the edition that officially brought Charles d'Orléans' poems into the realm of French literature. Only a few pieces had previously appeared in collective collections and almanacs.
