Blue morocco chagrin, book title in gilt lettering on first board, untrimmed smooth spine, cover and spine retained for text volume; blue morocco chagrin spine folder with overlapping bands for suite volume, common slipcase (V. Déro). Superb edition by Dr. A. Roudinesco, printed in an edition of 225 copies on Lana vellum plus a few nominative copies, illustrated with 58 original color lithographs by the painter Kees VAN DONGEN (1877-1968). A precious copy, specially printed for Luc Roudinesco, enriched in a separate volume with a 48-leaf proof of the book, a rejected plate in black, and a double suite in black and in color on Lana vellum of all the illustrations. A perfectly preserved copy, in an elegant and sober binding by Véronique Déro.
