In-4 of [2] ff. including engraved title, 44 pp. 5 engraved plates out of text including a large fold-out plan of Angers and a fold-out map of the "Canal de Monsieur" (Layon). Green half-chagrin with corners, threaded spine, gilt title, date on tail, double cold fillet on boards (19th c. binding). Slight rubbing to edges, slight scuffing to one corner. First edition of this rare publication by M.A. Moithey (1732-1805), ingénieur géographe du Roi in 1780, who published several historical plans of cities such as Orléans, Reims, Angers and Lyon, in which he highlighted the urban changes that had taken place since the mid-16th century.
