Maestro degli Sportelli dell'Accademia (Florence, first half of the 15th century) 'Madonna and Child and Saint Francis' Tempera and gold leaf on panel. The painter, a Florentine master active in the first half of the 15th century, can be identified through the two wings of the reredos kept at the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence. The reredos is known as 'anconetta' and due to its size, must have been used for domestic worship. Panel measurements: 79 x 58 cm.
