Spanish School. Granada. 18th. Century. “Saint Francis and the wolf”. Monumental carved and polychromed wooden sculpture. Height: 228 cm. This sculpture was in the exhibition “Teresa of Jesus: Woman, Saint and Doctor”, held in Alba de Tormes between March 28 and October 22, 2022, to commemorate the anniversary of the fourth centenary of the canonisation of St. Teresa of Jesus. It was organised by the Teresian Centenary Commission, the Discalced Carmelite Order and the City Council of the municipality. With a study by Dr. José Carlos Pérez Morales, PhD in Art History.
