"Our Lady of Guadalupe"
Drawing on paper.
51,2 x 38,1 cm.
This drawing was undoubtedly made by a master due to the great artistic quality it reflects. It would not be unreasonable to suppose that it could have come from the hand of Miguel Cabrera, since it is known that he published an account of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 1756 entitled "American marvel and set of rare wonders observed and directed by the rules of the art of painting", which could well have motivated the Master at the time to make a drawing on paper.
It is a rarity, since we do not find similar examples of a work of this size and quality on paper.
There is a fold and a very small fault.
