"Lion-shaped standard bearer"
Pair of carved and parcially gilded wooden sculptures.
150 x 74 x 55 cm and 145,5 x 74 x 54 cm.
Very rare and imposing carved andpartially gilded wooden pair of sculptures. These figures were intended to be placed on both sides of the throne of kings or viceroys in receptions for dignitaries from other countries, and on each lion the flag of each country was placed.
