Grosser Kristall-Deckelpokal mit Silberfiguren... Lot n° 157

Height: 53 cm. Probably Dresden and Bohemia, 19th century. Crystal, cut, silver, enamel and silver chain, partially gilded. Structure and style repeat important examples of baroque glass and silver art. Threefold structure: a sculptural figure of a kneeling dark-skinned man in plumage with bow, quiver of arrows and feather crown rises above a polished round base. Above this is the oval dome. Six ribs divide the wall, which is decorated with hunting motifs. The lid decorated with six silver figurines, crowned with a high domed tambour and finished with a small silver snake. Damaged.
