FLORA Oil on canvas. Doubled. 88 x 76 cm. In gilded frame with foliate relief. The half-length portrait of a young woman against a background formed architecturally from a raised fluted column stump. Her head crowned by a wreath of flowers, her hands holding a rose or lying on a full basket of flowers, with the colors red, pink and blue dominating. The painting is reminiscent of a painting attributed to Antonio Lucchese Franchi, which was auctioned under lot 188 on April 15, 2016, as well as a painting listed in the Fototeca Zeri and offered some time ago at Sotheby's New York as attributed to Abraham Brueghel.
