APOSTLE JACOBUS THE ELDER

In ornamental relief frame.
Against an indeterminate ground the full-length figure of a man with a pilgrim's staff striding forward to the right within the picture area with open shoes and an open book with pigskin binding lying in his hand.
The artist moved to Seville with his family around 1609. A large painting by his hand can be found in the Iglesia San Salvador in Seville. (1401534) (13)
