LARGE SPLENDID FLORAL STILL LIFE Oil on canvas. Doubled. 100 x 70 cm. In decorative frame. Against a greenish-brown background that lightens from left to right, standing on an old stone slab with a small crack and a chip, a large, gleaming golden vase containing a magnificent floral arrangement: it consists of colorful roses, tulips, carnations, chrysanthemums, primroses, hyacinths, a blue field bindweed hanging over the edge of the vase and two large flamed tulips protruding upwards to the left. There is also a bright orange zinnia lying on the plate itself. Painting with skillful use of light and shadow, emphasizing the brightly lit flowers against the darker surroundings.
