BEAUTY IN CORNFLOWER BLUE

Signed and dated "1871" lower right.
In gilded frame with relief decoration.
The almost full-length portrait of a young lady in a cornflower-blue dress with a folded fan, white lace, blue bow, multi-row pearl necklace and the Sisi hairstyle typical of the period stands in front of a balustrade bordered by a profiled pilaster at the right edge of the painting, behind which the viewer can see a park landscape characterized by treetops.
