VENUS, FLORA AND A BACCHANT PAY HOMAGE TO A DIONYSOSHERME
Gouache on paper, mounted on wood.

In a sunlit landscape with the remains of ancient buildings, the beautiful nude Venus seated on a red cloth holding a censer in her hands, behind her a Bacchante playing music and next to him Flora with a bluish cloak, holding a large basket of flowers. To the left, standing on a stone pedestal, is a large Dionysus herm to which they are paying homage.
