PORTRAIT OF AN ELEGANT YOUNG MAN

In a magnificent frame.
Against a dark background with painted rounded corners, the bust portrait of the man facing left, wearing a black jacket with a white shirt and so-called patricide collar, a white bandage and a small, valuable brooch. He has dark hair, a whisker, a gold earring in his ear, a fine, slightly tanned face and his shining blue eyes gaze attentively and confidently out of the picture at the viewer.
The artist was a student at the Royal Academy in Munich and then worked mainly in Augsburg and Nuremberg. Father of Friedrich Wilhelm Wanderer (1840-1910), creator of the Neptune Fountain in Nuremberg.(1401391) (18)
