RECLINING BEAUTY WITH BOW HARP Watercolor on paper. 37 x 53 cm. Signed "A. Rivas" upper center, inscribed "Roma" and dated "(18)89". In wide frame. A young African beauty is resting before the performance, half reclining on large colorful cushions. Next to her on a richly decorated carpet is a traditional African bowed harp. The incense in the middle of the room, the pot on the small ornate table in the foreground and the girl's clothes, shoes and jewelry faithfully and carefully reproduce the Arabian atmosphere.
