SEATED FEMALE NUDE Oil on canvas. 61 x 49.5 cm. Signed and dated lower right "P. Schraegle. 1919." At the edge of a large bed covered with blankets and cushions, a young seated woman with reddish hair, reading with interest in a book lying in front of her. Multicolored impressionist painting in a rapid brushstroke with predominantly impasto application of paint. The artist studied at the Royal School of Art in Stuttgart. He subsequently produced numerous portraits, landscapes and still lifes. His works are now in the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main and also in private collections.(1402374) (18)
