Carved with the pa'tedong motif, i.e. a buffalo face (tedong = 'buffalo'), the essential figure of the Toraja people, symbolizing the warrior, virile strength and connected to the divinity during sacrifices; and a latch carved with a rooster's head (manuk motif), animal intercessor with the divinities, and having a psychopomp role.
