René-Ferdinand (de) CHAUBRY (1749 - 1834) "Plans, sections, and elevation of an auditorium to be built in Dieppe, projected in 1788 by M de Chaubry, Port Inspector". Suite of 7 watercolor plates, numbered 49 to 55 and titled : - Legend des Plans (?) - First floor plan - Second floor plan - Second floor plan - Section on line AB - Section on line CD - Comédie Française" main facade Approx. 60 x 42 cm each plate All in the same gilded frame Slight wetness but good overall condition René-Ferdinand (de) Chaubry, Ponts-et-Chaussée engineer, sub-engineer at Le Mans, then at Honfleur, Le Havre and Dieppe in 1785 with the rank of inspector. He went on to become Chief Engineer of the Sarthe department, then President of its General Council.
