Biography:
Kevin WENDALL (1955-2010), known as FA-Q, was a famous American street artist in New York in the 1980s/90s. He belonged to "The Rivington Scholl" movement on NYC's East Side. In particular, he produced numerous portraits and self-portraits of artists, seeking, under the influence of drugs, to highlight their psyhology and disarray in the face of a capitalist society.
Extremely rare at auction, he has had several exhibitions, notably at the Van Der Plast Gallery in New York.
The Van Der Plast Gallery mentions the presence of Kevin Wendall in numerous collections such as:
the "Enrico Baj Collection", Santa Barbara Museum, Nagoya College of Art, University of Helsinki, Metropolitan Museum of Art - Artist Book Collection, Giancarlo Politti Collection, and the "Karel Appel" collection.
