Egg-shaped verge watch, white enamel dial (replaced) signed 'Leroy à Paris', circa 1800.
Gilt brass movement with verge escapement, hands missing; blood jasper (Heliotrope) case surrounded by gold appliques of garlands of flowers, buds and leaves. Around the lid, the legend 'Rien n'est trop bon pour ce qu'on aime' (Nothing is too good for what we love) written in gold on a white enamel band. L. 45mm; D. 30mm.
