Silk Goum rug (warp, weft and silk velvet), Northwest Turkey, second half of the 20th century

Length: 200 cm; Width: 133 cm
This finely knotted carpet features an old-red polylobed central medallion, extended by two pendants on an ivory background enhanced by an elegant polychrome stylized floral design. A wide ivory border with flower garlands is framed by numerous counter-borders.
