Enrique Helguera (1910, Chihuahua - 1971, Mexico City) - Lot of Three Pastel Drawings on paper, 20th century Mexican school Contemporary Mexican school from the first half of the 20th century - Lot of three rich scenes representing episodes of the Spanish Reconquista by Diego de Machuca and San Fernando. Hand painted and signed in pastel on paper. Jesús Enrique Emilio de la Helguera Espinoza (May 28, 1910 in Chihuahua - December 5, 1971 in Mexico City). When the Spanish civil war broke out, Helguera, as a family with his wife Julia Gonzáles Llanos and his two children (María Luisa and Fernando), chose to return to Mexico due to the economic difficulties in which he found himself. He found his first work in Mexico in the magazine "Sucesos para todos." During that time he toured the country to get an image of it and its customs and traditions and learn about its geography. This is how what would be the first version of "The Legend of the Volcanoes" was born, one of his most recognized works. . Watercolors on paper.
