Saint Paul the Apostle - Attributed to Peter Paul Rubens or his Workshop (Siegen, present-day Germany, 1577 - Antwerp, present-day Belgium, 1640)
Flemish School of Antwerp from the 17th century - Oil on canvas, measurements: 106 x 82 cm, measurements with frame: 116 x 92 cm. Works in comparison: a Saint Paul of the same model, possibly brought to the new world in the form of an engraving and painted by Cristóbal de Villalpando, preserved in the museum of Querétaro, Mexico. Another model, by the same author, preserved in the Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid. Provenance: private collection, Madrid.
