Travel or country set comprising six silver spoons with filet contour motif and six knives and six three-pronged forks in filled silver with gadrooned motif. In a leather case with stamped decoration and brass fittings (complete with key). (traces of wear, one blade to be refixed). Foreign work, 18th century (perhaps Augsburg, trace of a date-letter F and N surmounted by a pine cone? on the forks). Weight of knives and forks: 765 g Weight of spoons: 314 g Case dimensions: 27.3 x 20.2 x 11.6 cm Provenance: descendants of General Changarnier (1793-1877).
