Epée d'officier d'état major au règlement de véndémaire An XII.
Fusée with posterior brass filigree. Chased and gilded brass mounting. Pommel with empanached helmet, one-branch hilt and two leafy quillons. Bivalve shell chased with foliage. Blade with median flat (jammed in the scabbard, with gilding on the heel).
Leather scabbard (broken) with two chased and gilded brass fittings.
E.M. First Empire period.
Provenance: descendants of General Changarnier (1793-1877).
