1) Jeanne d'Arc. Storming of Les Tourelles
On May 7, 1429, during the siege of Orléans, troops under the command of Joan of Arc took the English fortification Tourelles, killing about a thousand enemy soldiers, resulting in the next day the siege of Orlean was lifted.
2) Henry IV forgives peasants during the siege of Paris in 1590.
