Oil on canvas depicting a sunny summer afternoon. Attributed to Osip Braz (1873-1936). Unsigned. Osip Emmanuilovich Braz was an Odessa-born painter, a member of the Mir Iskusstva movement since 1900. Braz graduated from the Odessa Art School in 1890, and studied first under Sandor Kholloshi in Munich (1891-94) and then under Ilya Repin in the Academy of Arts (1895-96). In 1914 Braz became an academic of the Academy of Arts. Dimensions: 19 3/4 x 24 in., (50 x 61 cm ) Canvas is strong with several cracks on the surface. Very minor paint chips on the edges. Stretcher is original to the canvas
