SÈVRES, LARGE VASE WITH BRONZE MOUNT, LATE 19th CENTURY, 1890
Porcelain spindle-shaped vase with polychrome decoration of hollyhocks on a celadon background, the neck decorated with gold palmettes, the pedestal decorated with rosettes and gold gadroons on a brown background, square gilt bronze base.
Marked: S. 90, RF decorated in Sèvres.
(Small chips on top edge, firing defect).

Provenance
According to Xenia of Montenegro, this vase was offered by France on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the reign of the King and Queen of Montenegro, in 1910. It was acquired from Xenia of Montenegro by the great-grandfather of the current owner.
