PAIR OF CANDLES, BLACK FOREST, 19th CENTURY
in deer antler, deer antler veneer and natural wood. The cylindrical shaft is decorated with a frieze featuring a herd of deer and hinds in the forest on a guilloche background. It is surmounted by an equally naturalistic upside-down rim. It rests on a triangular base with three deer legs.
