PORTICAL HANGER, SIGNED THONISSEN, IN PARIS, EARLY 19th CENTURY in Griotte red marble and gilt bronze. It features four columns, slightly swollen at the bottom, holding a circular guilloche dial with ring. It is enamelled white with baton hour-markers and Roman numerals for the hours and quarters. It stands on a stepped base and is topped by a stepped pediment. A Thonissen Paris signed clock, early 19th century HEIGHT. 47.50 - LARG. 27 - PROF. 14.50 CM - H. 18.7 - W. 10,6 - D. 5,7 IN. Thonissen was a Parisian watchmaker established on rue Mandar between 1806 and 1820, and on rue Comtesse d'Artois from 1830. His collaborations with great bronzemakers such as André-Antoine Ravrio gave rise to refined clocks.
