PAIR OF COLUMNS, LOUIS XIV STYLE, IN THE BAROQUE STYLE
The lapis-lazulis veneer backs are covered with gilded bronze ornamentation applied in openwork to form a dense network of foliage and palms, adorned with two bands of molded edges and a central frieze of rosettes in hardstone marquetry. They stand on circular doucine bases with a square counter-base in veined grey marble.
