Antique hard-paste porcelain dinner plate from Madame Douine's hunting service, decorated in the center with a hound surrounded by foliage and surmounted by the initials DD, 1814.
Marked: black stamp S1914DA and red stamp Décoré à Sèvres RF 1914.

Hunting enthusiast Cyprienne Dubernet inherited a considerable fortune from her first husband Olympe Henriot, director of the Louvre department stores. She later married Roger Hyppolite Douine, who commissioned this service with hunting dog effigies for his wife in 1913.
