The famous ironic poem by Ivan Petrovich Myatlev (1796–1844) about a landowner from Tambov, recounting her travels across Western Europe, is a parody of travel notes by N. Karamzin. The poem enjoyed immense popularity and was renowned as one of the funniest works in Russian literature.
