Copyist Marold (19th century) "Na vajechem trhis v Praze", oil on canvas, probably 1888. Prague market in the late 19th century. In the centre a man in black with a suit and top hat. Flanked by market women selling animals, eggs and other foodstuffs. A slightly sombre atmosphere. A historical document about life in this period. Excellently painted and depicted. Canvas 95 x 70 cm in matching frame: 105 x 81 cm. The original hangs in the Prague National Gallery in the Trade Fair Palace and is called "The Egg Market in Prague".
