Coming out of a major overhaul
The Triumph TR3 left the factory in 1955. An A was added, along with a number of improvements, at the end of 1957. This model was recognizable by its exterior door handles. The engine was increased from 95 to 100 hp, but the 1991cm3 4-cylinder remained, as on the two previous versions. The Triumph TR3A is one of the must-have models of the late 1950s and early 1960s. The entire "yéyé" era succumbed to its charms, including Johnny Hallyday, who found in it his first ride as soon as he had his driving license. A reliable, sturdy sports car, cruiser or racer, it offered many advantages for drivers and passengers alike, and is still considered emblematic of the period today.
The model we are offering for sale is in beautiful condition. We have an extensive file of invoices dating back to 2010, showing the ongoing maintenance this car has received since that date. In 2018, the current owner carried out a major overhaul during which the ignition, carburetion, brakes and lubrication were overhauled.
However, the vehicle is currently undergoing a technical inspection.
