The Ferrari 456 is the replacement for the 412. Ferrari 2+2 models play an important role in Maranello production. In addition to their user-friendliness, they are characterized by their loyalty to the front-mounted V12 and the elegance of discretion. The 456 was previewed in Brussels by Luca di Montzemollo and Sergio Pininfarina, to mark the 40th anniversary of Garage Francorchamps.
Marking a return to the tradition of the GT 2 + 2 with V12 front engine, the Ferrari 456 combines the habitability of a berlinetta, synonymous with bourgeois comfort, with exceptional performance.
This M version, for "Modificata", brings real evolutions to the initial 456 and an undeniable gain in reliability. Today, it is the most sought-after version, especially with the 6-speed manual gearbox.
Our example was delivered on January 24, 2000 by Concession Ferrari Tamsen to a certain Thomas Reinhard. A regular commuter between Germany and England, he ordered his car with mileage counter, integrated Nokia telephone, electric seats and mechanical gearbox.
Configured in Grigio Titanio, with black leather, it was imported into France in 2003 by the Charles Pozzi dealership. They sold it to a company with a power warranty. It was subsequently serviced by specialist RS Garage. In 2005, the mileage counter was replaced by its equivalent in kilometers. The mileage was translated into kilometers (CF logbook). In 2007, the clutch was replaced, while the car clocked up 41,784 km.
In 2015, the car was acquired by its current owner. Major operations include a gearbox rebuild in 2021 by specialist Gt Classic, and replacement of the timing belts in the same year.
Our test drive confirmed the health of the V12. The famous gearbox greatly enhances the driving experience.
A collector's item whose value is rising, the 456 is the last Ferrari V12 equipped with the famous mechanical gearbox still available. So don't let this opportunity pass you by.
