Drafted in 1990, the Fiat Barchetta was initiated to counter the MX-5 offensive. Introduced in 1994, it revives the spirit of the small two-seater roadster of yesteryear.
Based on the first-generation Punto, the Barchetta was designed to be fun, with a 130 hp 1.8L engine! Marginal, it nonetheless enjoyed a certain success, with almost 58,000 units produced in 10 years.
This 2005 model was delivered new to the UK, with the steering wheel on the left, like all Barchettas. Imported into France in 2013, it has been regularly serviced ever since. Most recently, the rear shock absorbers and bearings were replaced. As for the hood, it was rebuilt in alpaca in 2020. The timing gear was replaced in 2021.
The vehicle's technical inspection revealed a punctured exhaust system.
With a soft top that can be opened and closed in an instant, this charming Italian cabriolet has its place in the great tradition of transalpine roadsters.

This 2005 model was delivered new to the UK with the steering wheel on the left, like all Barchettas. Imported into France in 2013, it has been regularly serviced ever since. Most recently, the rear shock absorbers and bearings were replaced. As for the soft top, it was redone in alpaca in 2020.
The only drawback is that the roadworthiness test indicates that the car has been inspected for a punctured exhaust system.
