[Post-incunabula]. [BONAVENTURE (saint); GUILLELMUS DE LANICIA]. Dieta salutis a beato bonave[n]turaultimate eme[n]datum parisius nouiter impressum. Paris, Denis Roce, 1502. In-8 (h = 130 mm.), [sign. a-t 8]havana morocco, 5-ribbed spine, author, title, place and date gilt, fleur-de-lys fleurons, boards edged with 4 gilt fillets finished with fleur-de-lys, initial stamped in the center, gilt fillet at the edges, inner lace, blue moiré satin linings and endpapers, blue edges decorated with a semé of fleur-de-lys chased and gilt, clasps decorated with a fleur-de-lys [Dupuy] (slight rubs. very light wetness at beginning of vol, small worm stain through text, not serious, on last third of volume). Rare post-incunabulum and pocket edition of this treatise falsely attributed to Saint Bonaventure, the work of Guillelmus de Lanicia (or Lavicea), a 13th-century Franciscan theologian. Denis Roche's address does not appear to be documented, but the edition is similar to that reported under the name of Robert de Gourmont by Renouard and USTC. Woodcut printer's mark on title. Foliated from title to f. p 4, remainder unfoliated; colophon to r° of last leaf. Provenance: "Edouardus Fremigius me habet anno gratiae 1865 Parisiis" (gilt on first endpaper).
