(table), contemporary brown calf, 6-ribbed spine (worn binding, cover lac. on spine, gilt, blackened boards; extensive light spotting at beginning and end of vol. and in middle margin; lack replaced in margin of title; without portrait).
Fine Norman provenance: "Ce livre appartient à Hiacinthe Flamand sculpteur en ivoire grande rue à Dieppe 1827" (handwritten note on title). Further mention on a handwritten label dated Dieppe, October 10, 1861, on the flyleaf: "Ce volume rare et précieux m'a été cédé par l'abbé Cochet...". Autograph signatures of prelates, cut out, are pasted on the lower flyleaf.
