Collection of commented figures with emblematic intent, based on figures from Antiquity. Entirely copper-engraved and printed on one side of each leaf, it comprises a frontispiece and 41 full-page figures based on drawings by the Venetian painter Jacopo Guarana (1720-1808), with explanatory text opposite. Text and figures are framed by a decorative engraved border.
