In-8, [1] f., XX-88 p., 19th c. red morocco, 5 ribbed spine, gilt title, gilt fleurons on caissons edged with double cold fillet, boards framed with double cold fillet, owner's cypher and coat of arms gilt at corners, medallions with coat of arms gilt in center, gilt fillet on edges, inner lace, gilt edges (small light stain on edge of upper board, edge of lower board gilt, small lack on edge of lower board gilt), (small light stain at edge of upper board, tear not missing on endpaper, small loss in margin on p. 55). Posthumous first edition of twenty texts by Saint-Just dealing with various aspects of institutions: economics, education, festivals, the elderly, funerals, the army, censorship, colonial trade... Signature of one of the editors, Lamare, authenticating the edition. A fine copy in an elegant unsigned binding, with very wide margins. Provenance: Georges Richard de Soultrait (1822-1888), administrator of the Hospices de Lyon, then historian and archaeologist (arms on upper cover).
