Italic and Gothic typeface, spaces for capitals with small guide letters at the beginning of each cantica, three woodcuts, two of which are double-page spreads, depicting the Site et forma dell'Inferno (cc. EE2v-EE3r) and diagrams of the Inferno (cc. EE3v-EE4r) and Purgatorio (c. EE4v), PERFECT EXEMPLARY, binding in full red morocco with gilt cuts and gold title to spine, executed by Trautz-Bauzonnet. Exemplar by Giuseppe Martini with his handwritten note in pencil and ex libris; ex libris with monogramEdouard Rahir (?) to the counterplate.
