Our portrait is a fragmented and varied copy of Jan Baptist van der Hulst's 1837 oil-on-canvas portrait of Anna Pavlovna (1790- 1862), currently in a private collection. On the back, a handwritten note with an erroneous identification of the model. Faded, restorations. H. 74 x W. 57 cm Provenance: inheritance of Prince Albert of Prussia (1809-1872).
